Privacy Policy

RACK (“RACK”, “we”, “us”) helps players find pool tournaments and helps pool halls run them. This policy explains what information RACK collects, how it’s used, who it’s shared with, and how to have it deleted.
Information we collect
When you create an account:
- Email address and password (your password is hashed by our authentication provider — RACK never sees or stores it in readable form).
- Your name, and whether you’re signing up as a player or a hall.
If you register for a tournament as a player:
- Display name, and a self-reported skill rating (e.g. Fargo or APA) if you provide one.
- Whether your entry fee was paid in-app or at the hall, and (if paid in-app) a reference ID from our payment processor — not your card number, which RACK never receives or stores.
If you create a hall profile:
- Hall name, address, phone, website, and any banner image or social links you add.
- If you connect payouts, our payment processor collects identity and bank information directly — RACK stores only a reference ID and whether payouts are active, never account or routing numbers.
How we use it
- To run the core product: matching players to nearby tournaments, running brackets, and letting halls message their registered players.
- To process entry-fee payments and route them to the correct hall.
- To send account emails: signup confirmation, password reset, and tournament-related messages from a hall you’ve registered with.
We don’t sell your information, and we don’t run advertising or analytics trackers in the app.
Location
Searching tournaments by city or ZIP code uses a small built-in list of Houston-area locations to sort results by distance. We don’t collect your device’s GPS location, and ZIP/city search terms aren’t sent to any third party.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers RACK runs on top of, each acting solely to provide their part of the service:
- Supabase — hosts our database and handles authentication (password storage, login sessions).
- Stripe — processes entry-fee payments and hall payouts. Stripe receives whatever payment and identity information it needs directly; RACK does not.
- Vercel — hosts the application itself.
Registration details (display name, rating) and hall profiles are visible to other users of the app, since that’s the core function of a tournament roster and directory. Your email and payment details are never shown to other players or halls.
Data retention & deletion
You can permanently delete your account at any time from Account in the app. This deletes your login, profile, and registrations. If you own a hall with posted tournaments, deleting your account also deletes those tournaments — including other players’ registrations, match history, and messages tied to them — which is why we show you exactly what will be removed before you confirm. Deletion is immediate and can’t be undone.
Security
All traffic to RACK is encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed by our authentication provider, never stored in plain text. Access to your data in our database is restricted by row-level security policies scoped to your account or, for hall data, the hall’s owner.
Children
RACK is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.
