Terms of Service
Last updated August 27, 2026
These terms govern your use of RACK (“RACK”, “we”, “us”), a platform that helps players find and register for pool tournaments, and helps pool halls list and run them. By creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use RACK.
What RACK is — and isn’t
RACK is a listing and registration platform. Tournaments are organized and run by the halls that post them, at their own physical locations, under their own rules and prize structures. RACK isn’t a party to any tournament, doesn’t set prizes or house rules, and isn’t responsible for what happens at a hall — a dispute between players, an injury on-site, a hall cancelling or changing an event, or a hall’s own conduct. Your relationship for the tournament itself is with the hall, not with RACK.
Accounts
- You need an account to register for tournaments or list a hall. You’re responsible for keeping your login secure and for activity that happens under your account.
- Sign up as either a player or a hall — the two have different capabilities in the app, and switching between them isn’t currently supported.
- Self-reported skill ratings are exactly that — self-reported. A hall may mark a rating “verified” or “flagged” at its own discretion; RACK doesn’t referee rating disputes.
- You can permanently delete your account at any time from Account in the app. If you own a hall, deleting your account also deletes your posted tournaments and everything tied to them — the app shows you exactly what’s affected before you confirm.
Payments
Entry fees paid in-app are processed by Stripe and, for a hall accepting online payments, routed directly to that hall’s own connected Stripe account — RACK doesn’t hold, and doesn’t take a cut of, entry fees at this time. A hall may instead accept payment in person, outside the app, at its own discretion. Refunds for an in-app payment are issued back through Stripe by the hall or by RACK support, and follow whatever timeline Stripe’s own refund processing requires.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Misrepresent your identity, your skill rating, or a hall’s legitimacy.
- Harass, threaten, or abuse another user, in the app’s messaging or in person at an event.
- Attempt to bypass, probe, or interfere with the app’s security, payment flow, or access controls.
- Use RACK for anything unlawful, or in a way that could damage, disable, or overburden it.
We can suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, at our discretion, with or without notice.
Content you provide
You’re responsible for what you post — profile photos, hall banners, display names, messages. By posting it, you give RACK permission to display it within the app to the other users it’s meant for (a public hall profile, a tournament roster, a message thread). We can remove content that violates these terms.
No warranty
RACK is provided “as is.” We work to keep it accurate and available, but we don’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that a listed tournament will run as described — that’s on the hall running it. Use RACK, and attend any tournament you register for, at your own judgment and risk.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, RACK isn’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or attendance at a tournament listed on it — including entry fees for a cancelled or changed event, or anything that happens at a hall’s physical location. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you’ve paid RACK directly in the past 12 months, which for most users is zero, since entry fees route to halls, not to RACK.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as RACK changes. We’ll update the date above when we do; continuing to use RACK after a change means you accept the update.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
